In conversation with Laurence Edwards
Made of this Earth
Wednesday 4 May, 7pm in The Ballroom
During the week of the Close to Home exhibition, Malcolm will be hosting fellow-Suffolk artist Laurence Edwards, whose formidable Yoxman figure – “a Green Man for our age” – emerges organically from the ground to oversee the traffic on the A12 in Yoxford. They will talk about making work which is rooted and grounded in Suffolk. Exploring the vital, often underestimated, qualities of local life and landscape which generate compelling artwork.
Their public conversation, Made of this Earth, will take place in The Ballroom,
above the Courtyard Gallery, at 7pm on Wednesday 4 May.
Admission is free. Booking advisable: malcolmdoney@me.com
